Christopher Stansell grew up in Jacksonville, Florida where he spent four persistent years training with The Florida Ballet Conservatory, while studying at Douglas Anderson School of The Performing Arts. Graduating from Douglas Anderson and the Florida Ballet conservatory in 2019. Throughout his dance training he has been fortunate to have studied at the Dance Theater of Harlem ,Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Orlando Ballet, and the Florida Ballet summer intensives and workshops.
Christopher is now a graduating senior at the Boston conservatory at Berklee. Where he is earning his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance Performance. While studying at the conservatory he has been able to cultivate an expressive and experimental movement language embedded within himself , choreographed and staged his debut work “A Phoenix Trials” premiered at the Boston Conservatory Theatre at Berklee. He also performed the prestigious works “ D-man in the waters” by Bill T Jones , Nicholas and Murray Louis “four Brubeck Pieces” as well as the choreography of T. Lang , Margot Gilbert & Bradley Shelver. Christopher is auspicious about his future in dance.
